Communicating Technologies

Different by Design

To address shortcomings in traditional higher education and to meet industry demand, faculty from the Graphic Communications program met with educators and industry employers from across the state of Iowa to design an innovative curriculum that better prepares students for graphic design and web design careers. The result: a curriculum that merges academic rigor, exposure to cutting-edge technologies, and relevant professional knowledge through an active project-based curriculum.

Learning by Doing

The mission of the Graphic Communications program is to provide a professional education that is rich in ideas, current in industry best practices, and deep in technological insight from the input of industry-leading partners. Our philosophy is simple: the best way to learn something, is to do it. We prepare you for the rigors of working in the print design and web design industry by teaching cutting edge technologies in a hands-on format.
